From Dream to Reality
Welcome to Uruwala Estate, a dream we, Chanaka and Harini, have nurtured for many years. This journey has been fueled by a shared passion for the land and a vision to create something truly meaningful.
For me, Chanaka, Uruwala Estate is a tribute to my grandfather, Eason Millagasthane, whose wisdom and love for farming deeply inspired me. While my career as an engineer honed my technical expertise, my heart has always been rooted in the soil, yearning to create something sustainable and impactful.
Harini, with her background in accounting, has always envisioned empowering communities to improve their lifestyles and make a positive difference. Together, we saw an opportunity to blend our strengths to bring this dream to life.
This journey, however, would not have been possible without the unwavering support and guidance of our parents, Piyasena and Anoma Mallikarachchi, and Selwyn and Bertha Alwis. They instilled in us the values of hard work, integrity, and resilience, and we are profoundly grateful for all they did to raise us.
